Michelle has partnered with a diverse group of movement experts who are passionate about inspiring people! Depending on your unique needs, Michelle will work collaboratively with one of these highly trained facilitators and educators to develop a customized solution.

Dani Nobrega, Lead Facilitator, NYC Creative Program Manager

Dani is a long time Groover and social entrepreneur. She’s been sharing the Groove Experience in schools since 2011. Her specialty is with intermediates and teens, helping them break through boundaries, let go of judgement and open up to their own creativity and connection through movement. As Academy Director for The World GROOVE Movement, Dani teaches and mentors facilitators around the world in The GROOVE Method® for both adults and kids programs. Dani and her Grow a Seed comrades have developed an all in one organic microgreen garden kit that suits the classroom environment perfectly. Before Dani became a full time Groover, she was pursuing her Ph.D at Queen’s University in Education looking at holistic approaches to learning.

Jenn Litt, USA Experience Groove Facilitator

Jenn has over 15 years’ experience in the health and fitness field as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, physical education teacher and health and wellness manager. She is originally from Toronto, Canada where she was an elementary school teacher for 8 years and owner of Enerjennics. Jenn fell in love with GROOVE in 2009 and has been a part of the team facilitating and leading teacher/student Groove workshops in schools and conferences across Canada and the U.S.  Jenn moved to North Dakota in 2014 and is now a fitness manager in the parks and recreation sector.  She continues to use the GROOVE experience to enhance her presentations, classes and programs with the intention to create an energetic, rewarding and empowering experience.

 

Stacy Burnett, Experience Groove Teacher Consultant

Stacy has using Groove since 2010 to inspire people to connect to themselves and people around them in ways they never thought possible. Experiencing the world in a healthy active way has always been a top priority in Stacy's life, from competitive dance, figure skating, swimming, yoga, sports, triathlons and golf... she's tried it all! She is a certified PE, Dance and Social Science teacher in PDSB and mom to two young kids who keep her very busy. As a mother she has come to realize the importance of taking 'ME' time. which allows for personal discovery into the physical body, mind and spirit in which we can then give back more to our families and communities. When she's not grooving she loves time in nature, camping, gardening and spending time outdoors!

Pam Powers, USA Experience Groove Facilitator

Pam Powers is an educational consultant and founder of Physical Powers, LLC. Pam is an award-winning educator, recognized as Teacher of the Year by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and the Golden Apple Teaching Foundation. She has developed curriculum for local schools and nationally, co-authoring “Dance in Physical Education” for NASPE. Her passion in life has been dance-teaching, musical theatre and competing in ballroom. Pam has presented at over 300 conferences, district in-services, and locally organized events. In 2013, Pam was selected as the National Physical Education and Physical Activity Advisor for First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Active Schools through SHAPE America.  She enjoys short walks with her large dog and finding creative ways to stay fit in a busy world. Pam serves as a Child Advocate, providing a voice for children in the court system. She resides in Houston, Texas.

Nicky Cardwell, Experience Groove Teacher Consultant

Nicky Cardwell is excited to be a part of the Experience Groove team as a Teacher Groove Consultant. She an experienced Groove Facilitator and a teacher in the Waterloo school board where she enjoys integrating GROOVE into her Kindergarten program on a daily basis.

Chelle Martindale, Experience Groove Teacher Consultant

Chelle Martindale has been an elementary educator for 23 years. She is an instructional leader for Dance at York University and the Chair of the Peel Board’s Dance Teacher’s Association. Her lifetime passion for dance was reignited when she was introduced to the Groove experience in 2010.  In the dance program at her school that she founded in 2011, she continues to use the Groove experience as a vehicle for creative expression and self-esteem building in her students.

Maria Gutierrez, NYC Experience Groove Director

As a Cuban born girl, in a family of professional Rhumba and Mambo dancers, Maria knows the power of music and dance As Experience Groove’s NYC Director, her passion is to share it with everyBODY! With 30+ years in the fitness and dance profession, Maria realized how terrified people were to move their bodies in a healthy and healing way….she then found Groove in 2009 and hasn’t looked back! Maria is also the creator of the "Movement as Medicine" program for children and adults with special needs, as well as completed the Adult Development Education through 4H focusing on Youth Development grades 5-12, and Lion's QUEST Skills for Adolescence for Out-of-School Time adapted from Lions Quest's highly-rated middle school curriculum to provide staff with a positive youth development program that meets the unique demands of out-of-school time settings. Maria has also spent years in the role as as the Teen Program Coordinator / Lions Quest Facilitator K-12 Warwick Valley Community Center.
